Does that include the cost of dismantling the power plants in another 50 years (just a guess, but how many years can a machine like that function before it...

The fact that more people aren't against it honestly scares the shit out of me. Nuclear power is not safe. It has safety features. It is rarely disposed of correctly. When it is stored, it will be there for many many generations. Do any of the people for it give any thought to the long term...

Pneumatic presses can cost quite a lot. They go down if you can get scrap i-beams, have access to a welder, have a compressor. I dont know much about them, but maybe as much as $500-$2000 (depending on how much steel you have to buy). And my vacuum press... Is borrowed. I'm not much help...
