not everyone in hardcore is straight edge, a lot of them drink and smoke as much as anyone else. however, all ages hardcore shows/venues will have a policy of no drinking, drugs or fights to allow underage kids to have a good time. violent straight edge crews are pretty scarce in my opinion...
