Those are some nice speakers, the M-Audio ones. I also have a friend who has the Harman Kardon SoundSticks II ($169.95). I don't have these speakers, but from the reviews and the limited (sorry) price range, either one of these speakers seems like a good choice.

It depends on what type of ski you are making. If you are making a jibbing ski, you would want something softer; if you are making a charging ski, you would want something stiffer.

I am now seriously considering NYC and Burlington (Killington). About the booze part. The places in NYC I am looking at don't seem to "approve" of alcohol, but the ones in Killington seem to be fine with it.
