i was just in whistler this past week. a lot of the snow was pretty unstable. i think it was thursday, or maybe friday (?) a good portion of 7th slid and they had it closed all afternoon. good thing we skied it in the morning and got out of there, cause the slide was huge.

not being super familiar with encore, i am not exactly sure of the problem, but you might want to just uninstall/reinstall it to see if that fixes the problem? sounds like some plugin/template/actions files are missing or something... aside from that, why don't you have access to any tutorials...
