As long as you're not a broke australian, you'll be able to find a place in Banff, but more easily so in Canmore. Jobs are aplenty in Banff to subsidize skiing tomfullery.

I wuz up there a couple of years ago after a wicked temperature inversion. It was basically impossible to ski. The patrollers came by to look and said no one had skiied it in 4 days. It looked like a 70-deg landing on boiler plate at 25ft+ below. The thing that sucks is that there's no way...
