I use XXX boots and they are stiffish. At least when you compare them to 1080's. A local pro rider called them 'rubber boots', and they're known to be very soft. So, in a nutshell: 1080's are hardened rubber boots and XXX's are softened race boots. Both give you enough support and on the other...
