    Foreign language forums

Localization is a HUGE undertaking, even when you have people donating their time to do the translation. Unfortunately, it's not install a server language pack and it just works. There's no such thing as a server language pack (unless we're thinking of 2 different things). It took me 3 months...

    Champlain or Saint Michael's

If you're looking to get a job in burlington, champlain's a really good bet. They've got more connections w/VT companies than St Mikes or UVM b/c of their adult education programs. St Mikes is a better school. UVM's good, but I don't know too many people who graduated from there who work in...

    Ski boarding schools

Go to Crested Butte Academy. They've gotten huge over the years, but I went for a while and it was best time of my life. Up at 5:30, lift til 6:45, eat, 3 hours of class, ski from noon to 4 everyday. Weekends you ski all day. I was in the race program, so it might not be as intense. Early...

NS SUCKS ASS! (the suggestion thread)

Change the search functionality to a get instead of post. I wanna make a search plugin for firefox and safari so you can directly search NS from the search bar at the top. Using post data is a bit of a pain in the ass.

the weather at tucks is constantly changing. check the mount washington observatory forecast the night before. http://www.mountwashington.org/weather/ don't worry about the weather. just make sure to show up early so you don't park 2 miles down the road like people did last weekend.

    IS MIKE WILSON FINISHED

lib techs are some of the craziest skis you'll ever ride. super light, no chatter, wicked strong. the height of the tip doesn't really matter. i've used them in a foot of fresh and to tear down tuckerman's slush. No problems.

    Tuckermans Ravine this year

hiking's fine when the avy advisory says this... Break out the beach chairs and sunblock. We have a very nice stretch of weather for the foreseeable future. Sunny skies and the warmest temperatures we have had this season will be sure to provide some sloppy spring conditions over the next few...

    Tuckermans Ravine this year

it doesn't seem like anyone's been keeping track of the avy forecast on here. tuckermans has gone through a shitload of freeze-thaw cycles in the last week and it's expected to continue. they're expecting bulletproof faces and corn snow this weekend. save yourself the trouble and keep up on...

    High Def

The simple answer is that it's far more expensive. To get lower prices means higher volume and volume is not synonymous w/ski movies. Also, not too many people own HD capable players and the format war between blu-ray and hd-dvd hadn't been settled until recently. You will see more moving...
