I didn't go to the rail jam b/c I was beat from working all day. You all seriously should have visited the swap section of the Expo...an awesome selection of this year's Orage for really really cheap (Pro Form and below)...stuff ranged from Riders Edge to Masters
I was talking about crowd reactions during Sturts' Bellevue Throwdown and wasn't necessarily making much connection to the Seattle one. It was obvious that people were stoked on skiers in large part b/c of crashes; thats all i'm saying.
About the Seattle Throwdown though, the more Sturts...
I'm just saying the skiers were a little more entertaining to watch. Some of the boarders ate shit, but more of the skiers did (and in a more dramatic manner). Also, boarders went for a really long time. I think the crowd was glad to see a change in athletes.
I disagree; The crowd definitely got louder when the skiers were up. There's no doubt that some of the boarders were throwing down, but skiers were just a little more entertaining. It seemed like the box was stickier for the skiers and thus produced more crashes and "ooohs and awws" from the...
Hmm..so I just spoke with someone at Boarderline and they said it was open to skiers but that there were 15 free-for-all slots, and 15 invite only slots. I'm not sure whether that includes boarders and skiers or just skiers. Either way, don't expect to get in on it the day of. You should go in...
Usually its around the end of October. This year, I guess it will be on the 26th-28th of October at the Qwest Field Convention Center (like it has been in the past). And yeah, usually there are lots of great deals around for both boots and skis. Reps will usually bring some of their...
Haha Scandalous was my very first ski movie! Got it off of ebay (supposedly from Eric Spriet) and loved it! It was undoubtedly pretty awesome...especially because it was my first ski movie :)
WHAT?! You were off?? I was THIS close to stopping by your place and inviting you to the beach with us! Grant and I passed the street you live on and I wanted to stop in and see if you and Kevin were home. We didn't because Grant said you were probably working :( Next time i'll make sure to call...
Probably, but if you have any amount of knowledge on any of the activities they endorse, you pretty much won't get hired.
There are people that work at REI who are pretty core... but at the same time, a lot of them have no idea what's going on.
Wow what happened to Steven's whole "no park sponsorship" thing that I heard about all the time in previous years?
Anyway, that's pretty exciting! Hopefully all goes well with Brian's plans!
I don't know. Survivor Man is BA but he's a huge whiner. Bear is pretty hardcore because he 1.) eats snakes while their alive, 2.)climbs and downclimbs crazy shit, and 3.)drinks water from elephant dung..not to mention his bunny killing abilities...i'd say that's pretty core.
For the past season it has been on during their "Survival Friday" line up...but i think they are about to start a new season...I think its supposed to air on Wednesdays at 8pm? Not sure though.
That show is amazing though, i've basically watched every episode.
Wow, I just visited his blog for the first time. I'm not an incredibly outspoken person when it comes to bashing a quadriplegic...but I definitely don't see his logic when he said:
"Contrary to what they might think, this verdict won't raise the prices of their tickets or shut down their...
