is the 09/10 alpha 2 the same ski as the 10/11 alpha 1 because they are £180 cheaper they both have elf shoe and the Dimensions are the same, not sure if to get old or new?

Just got a set of K2 domains and marker jesters But when i measure from the edge of the ski to the binding (the bottom pointy bit) on 1 ski its the same on both sides but on the other 1 side is bigger by 1mm so it needs to go over 0.5 of a mm to be bang in the middle! will this effect the way...
