Opteron is a server chip, the G5 is a desktop chip. Better comparison would be A64 or FX-51 is better than the G5. They aren't the same type of chips, but yes, the opteron is better. But still a crappy comparison.

Or if youre not a puss, you wouldnt have to boil water. Usually you can just yank the grips off. then get a pipe cutter or hack saw or something, take off however much you want, then put the grips back on.
