You should come visit Silver Mountain in Idaho...that's a small resort...almost no lift lines ever, you only get your pass checked on the gondola, and a terrible terrain park. But the snow is actually pretty bomb if you like to ski trees.
you will just need to be prepared to get some stains on it from rails/trees/oil/whatever. If you spot treat it (hand wash) with something gentle like nikwax it won't compensate the waterproofing much and it should get most of the stain out as long as you let it soak for a while. Just make sure...
