    Summit Expansion Plans - Decision

Kevin - I smell new living room furniture - hang it from the ceiling beam, would be SO awesome! I had never heard of the old hyak lift being called the dinosaur until a co-worker called it that yesterday, and now someone on here did. Has that name been around a long time? And who are we to...

    Snow Watch 08/09

Mission will probably only be one tiny run with man-made snow like last year, but still fun if its the only mountain open.

Right fine, so they'll probably take out the old chair, and add a small one on the back side up the top area. Either way, a chair on the back side. Small beginner slope back there, I suppose that doesn't open up much cause its just the nordic trails back there. And yes, look at the map, it...

Who told you it only rains up there? What the heck? You are aware that Mt Baker holds the world record for the snowiest place anywhere on the planet, yes? And yes, if Stevens isn't open, Baker is worth the drive. Mission will also be open Friday!

Did you look at the map kevin? It shows two chair lifts where the one old non-operational one is now.

they are adding a bridge over one of the creeks on the central-hyak cross over trail though. I bet its the really fun one where you're going 100mph, and it dips down and turns hard to the left. Better not be, thats fun as hell.

    Summit Expansion Plans - Decision

Looks like the new chair at Alpy would open up SOME of the BC, but not all of it. I think thats great. Alleviate's lift lines, opens up more territory to non-hikers like me, but still leaves much (most) of the BC hiker-accessable only, so we don't ruin the BC for the purists. Also looks like...

Ha, damn straight, I loves me some 1260s. And you're welcome! When did you come by?

    ON3P Skis, 165cm Range?

I am 5'5" 125 lbs (but twice your age... scary) and I definitely prefer a shorter ski too. My motherships are 172 and just over my head, and they ski great. I wish they could be just a touch shorter, but such is life.

    ON3P Skis, 165cm Range?

Thanks! 160cm, 110-90-100, about 1/2" camber at the center (maybe a little less). Flex is very similar to 1260's, just a little softer at the tips. The waist is at the true center, and they'll be center mounted.

Ohh yes Scott's is the best. We probably go there every other time we go skiing on the way back.

    ON3P Skis, 165cm Range?

Remember though that in powder, that is irrelevant since you are sinking in snow anyways. And on hard snow or groomed snow, you spend probably 90% of the time on edge, and when on edge the ski is flexing. You would only notice the small contact area that short time you are totally flat on your...
