    New skis - Advice/Thoughts needed

Gotmas are awesome skis. I would not get either if these were going to be ur primary skis. If there going to be pow skis then you can't make a wrong decision.

    Shop messed up?

The hole was probably not drilled deep enough. Use a screw driver to tighten, if you hear cracking thats what it is then take to shop. Or you can just hammer it.

    De-tuning edges

I would naturally detune them by just using them. Sure sharp edges are more difficult to slide with, but don't you like to do some turns once in awhile? Thats just my opinion.

Bindings Ripped Out of Brand New Armadas

I ripped my bindings out of my volkl v-pros and my v's. I think this is due to the lack of metal topsheet in which I think they should of used a 3.5mm bit but they used a 4.1mm bit. Im going to take them back to the shop and make them do helicoils for free or at least a 12pk of cheap beer.

    Ptex

Epoxy is pretty cheap 5-10$. It depends on what you are doing with it. If ur doing something with helicoils or anything with screws involved go w/ the machinable epoxy. If your doing general repair to the topsheet just get the regular stuff or even the colored epoxy. Be sure to check the temp...

    Binding not flush with ski

I wouldn't worry too much about that. Screws could be too long or holes not deep enough. Take it to a shop but u might just be trippin.

    Chips

chips in the topsheet can be covered up by colored epoxy matched to the color of your topsheet. Get epoxy at home depot.

    Materials to fix base

take it to a shop where they will cut off the existing flap and fill it with baseweld material (not p-tex). If the gash goes through the base, p-tex will only be a temporary solution.

    ROLLERBLADING!!!!

Billy is right rollerblading is very simular to skiing. The skiers who trash rollerbladering are in a way trashing their own sport. Not to say rollerblading is skiing because skiing is 100X more challenging and everyone knows skiers are pimps and rollerbladers are well just rollerbladers.
