Yeah Mtn. High is usually terrible by April and Bear is really hit or miss depending on the year so I run off to Mammoth for spring break. Great snow 4 out of the 5 seasons I managed to make it up there.

So what happens if your just tall and have to wear them anyway? Does this make steeze a total impossibility?

At Mtn. High they have a little straight up kicker with a tree sticking out of it that you can jib, its pretty sick. At Mammoth they have the big pink wall too thats pretty cool.

I got some skiblades that I picked up for $100 with bindings back in the day and the only thing they're cool for are super busy days, because you look so totally out of control on them. Nothing like dropping off the top of Mammoth and literally watching 20 people just move out of your way like...

I tried no pole for a while, and realized I can roll a pretty good joint while skiing, but they're pretty usefull. Having no poles is pretty chill for deep, steep, super carvy lines, because you drag your hand in the snow and pretend your a surfer. But I pretty much always use them.
