You're like 20-30 mins from Gore and probably like 30-40 mins from Whiteface. They both suck unless you score a free ticket and there's lots of snow.

Man up and make the drive to Jay or Stowe. I drive there from Potsdam every weekend.

Today rocked. Hit Valhalla if you can...I had completely fresh knee-thigh deep tracks all day. It was a little bit hairy underneath but I didn't fuck any of my equipment up in the least.

I was there yesterday...everything was really small. You can still find some snow in the right trees though.

I haven't been there in years, but ski Corbet's Couloir if you get a chance/if it's open...I remember that Saratoga Bowl was fun too on good days. The park was underdeveloped when i was there, but they had a really funn channel gap. (Not that a terrain park matters on a Mtn. like Jackson).
