    Red bull bases

true that. im surprised they still have them though. i can't remember the price, but i don't think it was all that much to be honest. i could be wrong (they might not even be for sale, but im like 90% sure they are/were). so yeah, they exist, but are hellas rare to the max.

    Backcountry gear

G3, Black Diamond, etc. Totally depends on what you are doing (except the avy stuff, that's pretty universal). Do you plan on touring, skinning up and doing something or heli/cat/sleding up, charging, jibbing. You'll need drastically different gear depending on the type of "backcountry" skiing...

    Bibby Recall!!!

id for sure buy some recalled ones. seriously, if they're just going to end up in the dump or as furniture, might as well ride em til they delam. what exactly is the problem? respeck for giving out all new skis, but this shouldn't be a reason to waste all that material and work.

    CoreUPT=Dynastar?

it's a little different though; they now have designs and stuff that are entirely their own, which I would expect to see from coreUPT within the next year or two. Im guessing they do it this way because it allows them to use an established decent ski to become respected during the infancy of the...

    06 AR5

I had/have a pair of the 176s. I haven't ridden a ton of other skis in my life, but i think they're pretty dece. definitely fun for what i think you will be doing with them. i found they werent so hot in pow, but you wont be riding that, so that's ok. im not sure if it's just now because they...

    Looking into boone, Help!

look for some dynastar reviews. that should give you a pretty good idea of how the coreUPTs will ride. not trying to be a jerk, it actually should be a pretty good indication.

    Taking in pants

thanks for the replies. I think I will probably sew in a pair of regular pants. i like the tent sealer idea; i will look into it. just so i have all the information though, how would the length on the men's small and women's medium holdens be?

    176's for a 6 footer?

ya, obviously if you could get bigger, that'd be the way to go. but 176 isn't too bad for pure park. i rode 176 armadas the past few seasons at 6'2" and was for sure a little mad about the size on occasion, but it wasn't a huge deal. basically, if it's like 50 bucks off, i wouldn't do it, but if...

    Alpine Trekker Ski Touring Adapters

recommend tgr as well. good for short touring if you will be skiing really aggressively on the way down and need a solid alpine binding. heavy. would not recommend if traversing steep slopes will be frequent. hope that helps.

    Taking in pants

so some people have mentioned moding some regulat fit pants by splitting the seem and re-sewing. seems like a good idea, but how is waterproofing affected? is there anywhere that I can purchase a seem seal tape? no, im not down with duct taping them. ill do it cause i like making stuff, but only...

    Outerwear for 09 Line anthems?

your skis don't really need outerwear man. maybe some dark purple little tip/tail toques. but seriously, did you actually plan on matching your outerwear to your skis? does that mean that you would get a new outfit every time you got new skis? im all for looking good, but you dont need to match...

    Canadian Ski Equipment Prices

^ sounds like good advice. plus, do you really want to be wearing out brand new sick skis when your just instructing/taking a course? anyways, back to duties and stuff even though you said you prolly wont bother, some more advice. if you were to get something like moments or anything else made...

    Crowbar bloc edition

man, i want those so bad. i was planning on getting retros, then i saw there were none this year and couldnt find any (even just the strap) anywhere. then i saw these. the blues are so tight. i dunno if i can afford them though. i totally budgetted enough for them, but now im like 2 g poorer...

    Canadian Ski Equipment Prices

Where will you be? Yes, GST is 5%. In BC, PST is 7% and Alberta doesn't have any because they have oil. pretty much, ordering across the border can get pretty complicated. I try to avoid it and have a shipping address just on the other side to help with that. If you do order though, DO NOT USE...

    Pieps Freeride?

dont do it. ive been watching this beacon for a while and was pretty excited about it, but now that it's out, i wont be getting one. basically, it will keep you safe, as will all beacons (unless you really try to save money and buy some super old one that isn't on the right frequency... but if...

    New idea for spray paint

im sure you could do it with clean bases and a good plastic paint. whether you would want to do it would depend on whether you care at all about your skis and how they ride. ie. don't do it. for starters the paint will start to chip of pretty quick so it wont even look good. also, the waz wont...
