    REVIEW: ON3P Great Scott

that's alot better than the $200,000 cobra_commander was suggesting. id say the price to radness ratio at $10 000 a pair is pretty fair.

    Factory seconds?

thanks. yeah, PM does have a pretty high rate. unfortunately they don't quite have what I'm looking for, and they're still expensive, even after the discount. So that's what moment is doing with them. I asked them and they just said 'unfortunately they are not for sale'. I would have liked it if...

    AT Gear.

little known site: climbingskinsdirect.comactually, I think it's relatively well-known by backcountry skiers and those on tgr and such, but by people new to it, it's a good resource, especially us nsers being into the whole super fat twin-tip thing. i don't have a ton of experience with the...

    The REAL G-Suit

so true. i actually don't usually call them that, nor do i like it. i was just feeling mad lazy and the 'a' is much closer to the 's' than the 'o' on the keyboard. p.s. i know 'l' is really close to 'o', don't question my reasoning.

    Pick My Next Skis, Please

i don't think they make skis that wide. i think a lot of people will recommend the anthems for you, though the biggest they come is 178cm. Moment reno jib or rocker may also suit you. i'd say a lot of park/all mountain skis would suit your needs. sorry im not much help. but at least you go to...

    SPK vs. Rampage

yeah man. $150 is mad cheap. i haven't skied in SPKs, but when i was getting my boots (rampages) I tried them on. i had to make the decision between those two boots, and went with the dalbellos because they were less common and i liked their adjustability... and because tanner rides for...

    Reno Jib Quality Issues?

i don't have a pair, but will be skiing my bibbys in a few weeks (not enough snow yet). i'd just like to comment on your observations though. Im not saying that they aren't chipping more than other skis you've had, but things such as chipping and edge dents, etc. have little to do with...

    Factory seconds?

anyone know where to get some factory seconds? I know moment is selling a few super stiff ones for a good price, and that for whatever reason won't sell any of the recalled bibbys, but just wondering. there must be a fair number of screw ups that can't be sold in stores but that ski just fine.

    Official Crowbar Part Trading Thread

^ ^ won't they NOT cause shadows?? i.e. make the snow look uniform and featureless, making it very difficult to see bumps, beginning of trannies, lips, etc.? that's what polarized lenses will do, so I would expect similar from dark iridium lenses, particularly in a situation where the light is...

    Oakley Crowbar

^ ^ what??? sure lots of people have them... they're good gogs. look good, fit most people pretty well, can be customized and have really good lens options. we all know lots of people have them, most goggles are kinda popular, but they're a quality product, so don't bitch. and what ones with the...

    Oakley goggle strap

they used to be called 'stretch', then became 'retro', but last year was their final year. now there are two limited edition gogs with writing on the strap. They are called 'bloc account' and are already hard to find. they were gone from online stores super quick, though I have seen them in a...

    Painting a helmet

No offense to everyone advising this guy not to paint his helmet; respect for trying to keep him safe, but honestly... Im not recommending you do it at all, but I would argue the damaging effect of paint on the plastic shell is minimal. of course someone like an instructor or helmet company...

    Folsom Skis

I haven't ridden a pair, but they have been in development for quite a while now. They are super expensive though: like $1000+ range. That's all I know, sorry. The flex chart on their site could be pretty helpful. The torsional rating seems pretty cool too.

    Backcountry jib skis

pretty much. i'd say it wouldn't effect your ski choice too much, provided you aren't doing huge approaches. the binding you pick though may be more dependent on your movement plan.
