Been skiing Alpental all my life but I'm just starting to get into the whole backcountry scene. What are some good places?

Right now I have some k2 Kung Fujas and I just bought a pair of Line MPOs. Seeing as the k2s are more of a one ski quiver, I want to get something that performs a little better on the hardpack, but still is really playful. Any suggestions?
