At WWU English is a huge part of the first year curriculum. Everybody has to take English 101, and there are a ton of English 101 classes offered and they only have like 30 kids per class. Maybe they just don't teach english much at you school?

Line Anthem or Reno Jib, get something symmetrical, it will be easier to learn on, and it will carve fine, especially switch. The Anthems have a forgiving fled, but the Moments are more solid and could most likely carve better.
