I just skied my new mad trix today and they kick ass for east coast conditions, much better than my 2001 1080s. Where i ski its even worse than east coast for ice and thin snow cover. It's still pretty wide in tail and tip so i presume it would still kick ass in powder if i ever get any.

I just got my mad trix and I'm mouting salomon 914s on them but thats only cause i hav em already. Bit woried they're going to weigh like a tank. Anyone mounted the bindings in between the big air and big mountain settings? Just wondering where its best to mount them?

What skis does anyone recomend for icy or hard packed conditions. Where I ski we see powder like once a season so all the new wide waist skis are pointless. Is the mad trixx not pretty skinny? Any good for icy shit?

I've heard with the new ones your meant to heat them up before you wear them but they're meant to be a sick boot. Anyone ridden the kinneisel flys? What they ride like?

I hate it when people moan how a company's bindings suck when they've only used the shittest ones. The 810's are like salomon's second shittest binding of course a cheap binding is going to pre release it was never designed for hard riding and jibbing.

I have the 914s and they fit perfect with my salomon boots and I've only ever had the ocaisional pre release. Sounds like something aint right.

2 Freeski is definetly better than freeze. Its starting to get much bigger so it don't take 2 seconds to flick thru llike freeze does.

Anyone on here done one? I'm tempted to try a smallish one about 10ft. How do you keep balanced mid air? Seems like it be really hard to control.

the newer ones should have two lines for mounting on it, one for park one for all mountain. Neither are centre mounts. Don't mount it any where else it wont ski as well.

Its been proven that most new innovations come from small or newish companies so it don't mean shit if salomon don't invest. Look at LINE the've created some new binding. Bring on the any new specialised twin companies. Anyway if the sport takes off the big companies like salomon will jump back...

Scratches. Hav'nt skied them but read reviews of them against loads of other twins in a couple of magazines and both put scratches first or joint first with the atomic tweak. 03 1080's were like 3rd/4th.

914s kick ass. There one solid binding but they weigh a bit.
