Reckoner 122

We needed a big-mountain slayer that can bounce switch and crush pillows. A ski that charges through pow but still can play. So we built the K2 Reckoner 122. With a directional twin shape reinforced by Spectral Braiding, this ski bucks all convention. Crea

Item details

One of the standouts during the ski test week was K2 Reckoner 122. I haven't ridden the Marksman or the Catamaran so I can’t speak to its comparison to it’s older influences but I did find them to be very easy to manoeuvre right off the bat. I'm a skier who likes to ride very fast and these skis allowed me to do that with confidence. Not too much rocker to be bouncing around and enough stiffness underfoot to really hold an edge. I did not get to test performance in deep snow but on variable all-mountain terrain they were very playful and quite fun to pop around especially for a powder specific ski. I thought these skis would be quite heavy but I was surprised with how light they were. I felt so good on them I wanted to check the air awareness so I hit the medium line and they flowed real well. With that I would feel very comfortable taking these off some cliffs.

If I were to compare them to any ski, it would be one of my all-time favourites the VOLKL 121. They are quite similar for being very playful freestyle oriented powder skis but also a well rounded ski that could handle those tracked out pow days when you still want to get laps in. - [tag=53001]@P3t3r[/tag]

Latest questions

You said these skis are very similar to the Revolt 121. Can you expand on some differences?
I'm looking at picking up one of these 2 skis in the 177 length. I'm 5'6" 140lb. It'll be a quiver ski, only for big powder, catski, heli days. I'm assuming the Reckoner 122 will be a bit more poppy and lively from turn to turn....correct?
Thanks.
