The 2021 Faction Prodigy 3.0 was one of my favorite skis of all time. With long rocker, minimal camber and a stiff flex, it did pretty much everything well. If I had a complaint, it was too much tail rocker/not enough camber leading to instability on landings despite the stiff flex. For '21 Faction have significantly reduced the rocker while softening the ski somewhat. The result is a ski that is harder to butter, despite being softer, but more stable on landings, despite the same. They are still a fun ski to play around on too, buttering takes a little more finesse, because you can't simply lean on the rocker with all your weight and get away with it, but these are still a medium flexing ski, so they don't wash out too easily. I enjoy them for charging hard in soft snow but they are a little too soft in choppy conditions and get deflected somewhat. I found them a touch less of a do-it-all ski and more oriented to all-mountain/pow (I skied the '20 ski in the park all summer and I wouldn't want to quite as much with these), but the Prodigy 3.0 remains my go-to ski for all-mountain, and even pow, days. The whole Prodigy line is a ton of fun and these might be the best of the lot. - Twig
