The wider 98 underfoot base is great for various all-mountain conditions, everything from ice and slush to powder. If you’re a medium-sized guy like me they'll take you for a ride if you don't stay on them, but they rip as a tradeoff. The taper and rocker in the tips and tails allows for a nice floaty feeling but also having a solid ski, you can lay trenches on steeps. This is something I would use for my daily driver, despite the durability issue in the ski.
