Armada

Armada made big changes to the jib lineup for '16-17 so it's to be expected that many things stay more or less the same on that front for next winter, but there is big news in the form of the brand new ARV 116. Their OG 5ppoint pow ski, the JJ gets another set of changes and find itself sat at the fat end of the ARV line. For the first time on an Armada 'Elf-Shoe' ski, the contact point moves behind the widest point of the sidecut to give smoother and more consistent turn initiation. It also gains a '3D base' shape, with spooned tip/tail rockered sections (think Bentchetler but different) for better sideways deep snow performance, while retaining a full edge wrap. The 116 and the whole rest of the ARV line get the 'MadSteez' graphic treatment bringing back memories of those legendary AR5s. Newschoolers' Review: [i]The flex profile, with a super soft nose and tail, isn’t quite as smooth as I personally like, but they are incredibly easy to butter. And while I prefer the rounder flex of the ARV96 (more on that
Member Review : [i]Park is where the 86 truly shines. I've been riding wider skis for the past couple of years and I was surprised. I thought the 86 would be your stereotypical jump and trail ski, but this thing slays everything.
Newschoolers' Review: [i]The ARV 96 is a versatile, smooth medium flexing option that pretty much lets you take on anything you want in the park world. You can take it to decent sized jumps and you can swerve around the smal
Newschoolers' Review: [i]The ARV 116 JJ replaces the JJ & JJ 2.0 for 2018 and I see no issue with the decision, it's certainly an upgrade more than anything. The 116 is a phenomenal ski, especially great for the park kid wh

Newschoolers Review: [i]The ARV 106 is a great ski and it certainly found a place in my quiver. I take them out whenever I just want to go for a rip all around the resort, if I’m not sure how much snow has fallen and if I’m
