I used to ski full tilt boots the 130 flex and hate the cables with my whole soul. What boots are stiff because I’ve tried Atomic and Lange and both of their 130s fold in half with a wc booster. I don’t ski park
Don't know why this post is here, maybe a mod can move it to its rightful place. That said, not sure what FT tongue you are talking about, I assume a 12. But that still doesn't wholly make it a 130 or the same as any other 130 flex boot. The flex classification system is in no way standardized across the industry, more so within each company. However, you can't say you've "tried Atomic and Lange" and they both fold, as they each have many boots in their lineup that are amongst the stiffest of any 130's out there. Very much depends on model and plastic used. If you flex some 130 K2's for example, yes, they can feel quite soft due to the plastics they use. Similarly, a Hawx 130 will not flex like a stiffer WC boot because of the plastic inherently required to make it the lightweight that it is. Have you skied in a Redster? Even their newer club sport 130 is adequately stiff and a phenomenal boot. If you want stiffer, make sure your boots properly fit and go WC, although a CS would likely be more than sufficient. Can also look for a used version of the previous gen of redster with the carbon backing. I used to have a 120 in that that felt just as stiff as a Lange 150. Raptor is another great boot. Many options out there if you actually want to go stiff. Cheers.
