Event:
The Battle at the Base Rail Jam co hosted by Sugarbush Parks and The UVM Freestyle Skiing Team will be a skier and snowboarder rail jam. The jam event will take place on the custom built course, with competitors throwing down for the tops spots. The Battle of the Base will give local shredders an opportunity to ski their dream course, and take part in an exciting and innovative competition.

Logistics :
Battle at the Base is Sugarbush Resort's, Mt. Ellen Peark first day of the season, building a custom park for skiers and riders to shred prior to the jam and during the jam. Sugarbush Parks kick off event for the 2019 season, will feature an assortment of rails of all types.There will be a brief 30 minute open practice session for both skiers and snowboarders pre qualifiers for riders to inspect the course and get hits in.
Format:
Time : Registration at 9 -10am
Practice 10:30 - 11
Ski Qualifiers at 12 - 1pm
SB qualifiers at 1 - 2pm
Finals at 2:30 - 3:15 pm
Awards : 4 pm
Registration : 15$ with discounted day tickets for non Sugarbush Passholders

Pre-registration and day of registration will be available.
Day of registration will be held in the Mt. Ellen base lodge
There will be two registration options
$15 registration with season pass
Free registration for all UVMFST members
$30 registration with lift ticket
Ski / Snowboard judges will choose 10 riders from each category. Top 10 riders from each category will battle it out in finals for the top 3 spots of each division.
