Very inspiring story. But, he's not nearly good enough to compete at an Olympic level, and if he's doing med school at the same time there's no chance.
This is a great story. Any attempt to do something like this is absolutely amazing - regardless of the outcome.
Tonnes of athletes maintain other jobs and learn a huge amount leading up to an olympics. Lots more common in other parts of the world.
@blindside - maybe he won't win but who cares? Even just being in the Olympics representing Uganda for snowboarding is awesome. That is a win right there, gold medal or no.
