Skiers: Punx/Lil Punk
Date: January 31st 2009
Route: C.W Col And Beacon Practice
Aspect: ?
Vertical Drop: ?
After
our failed attempt to ski creag leacach on the 28th, we decided to try
for another attempt on saturday 31st. We rolled into the car park at
9.30am. Only to see that the snow has has got pretty scarce since 3
days ago and the wind was gusting at about 50mph at 649 meters. So we
decided to give C.L a miss and skinned up the C.W side instead.
Skinning up the gully the wind was not to bad, due to it been sheltered
most of the way. We started to feel the full force of the wind once we
reached the C.W col. Standing on the col for about 5 minutes deciding
if we want to try and head across to CNS, but we retreated and went and
sat in the C.A hut to take our skins off and smoke a joint. Were we
pretty much called it a day after that.
In the afternoon we, done 3 hours of beacon practice once the snow softened up a bit.
