Thoughts on new Aura Optics goggles?

They seem to have a good concept. I haven't worn a pair or even seen a pair. Everything about them is sick except for their logo.

Bringing a bland product that provides nothing new to an extremely oversaturated market. Uvex uses an identical lens changing system and it is absolute junk. And highfit? That's not goggle sag, do not want. They more than doubled their goal ($8000 seems like hardly enough money to go into mass production anyway). I'll be interested to see how they do. As with many products it is also hard to judge a product without seeing it in person.

who cares if you can change your goggle strap on hill?

no different than any other goggle company, seems like the strap might slip out every once in a while, ugly logo?, very tough to get into such a big market. in my opinion doesn't look like it will go anywhere, but we'll see i guess.

Aura is basically taking a pair of premade goggles and just adding antifog coating to them. But it seems like it is going well, and who knows, with enough money they might be able to start creating their own frame designs

They look exactly like the spy dooms minus a slightly rounder nose. I'm not sure if they have ever heard of oakley because you can definitely switch the straps on those. They would need to come in at a very low price point to spark my arousal. Other than that they look decent.

I don't think these goggles look copied, comparing them to the stage and Uvex. Also, while Oakley may offer customizable/interchangeable straps it is impossible to do so with gloves on. No other goggle I have seen has the Sheer design where the lens completely hides the frame. Price is very attractive at 100$ with two lenses and straps. If you watch their kickstarter video the frame is a lot tighter/more flexible and since its softer, more durable. I can't say how well they fit because I haven't bought a pair yet, but Id like to see where this product goes, they look like two swell dudes with a bright future ahead of them.
