Central New York will be windy and white this coming week.

A Northeast storm is expected to bring in heavy snow and gusty winds in the Central New York region, according to the National Weather Service. Up to 14 inches of snow is possible in Syracuse overnight and during the day Monday.

A winter weather advisory has been issued for Sunday night through Tuesday Morning in the Catskills up to the Canadian border. Up to 18 inches of snow could fall in some locations, including Labrador and the Song Mountain ski area.

A winter storm warning will be in effect from noon Sunday to 6 a.m Tuesday. Thursday for the west slopes of the Northern Catskills, including Lexington, Hunter, and Belleayre, according to the weather service. Twelve to 26 inches of snow is forecast in the mountains and at the passes beginning shortly after noon Thursday and intensifying Friday morning.
