For the 8th time in the history of the SNOW DOME Bispingen (Germany) the Summer Feast took place in the indoor ski venue between Hamburg, Berlin and Hannover. It's the perfect place for all shredders to ski and snowboard in summer in a perfect snowpark plus you can meet old and new friends, participate in fun side events like waterslide or outdoor jib session and just have an awesome time.
The whole camp lasts one week. We didn't schedule any side events the first two days and everybody was riding the new setup which we changed a little bit right before the event. Some highlights were the new Quadkinked-Rail, an Elbow-To-Downrail, a long Uprail and a completely new endsection with different small but fun obstacles.
The best thing during the camp besides a nice snowpark is our camping area. We were really lucky with the weather the whole week and had sunshine with high temperatures all the time. On Wednesday we did an outdoor jib session on one of our metal tubes. We built a nice dropin for that and brought snow from inside to the outdoor area. All skiers killed it during the session and Felix Althammer got new Rossignol FKS bindings for showing the best tricks with a nice style.
The next day was really hot and so the preconditions for our waterslide were perfect. We build a pool which was about 10 to 12 meters long and filled it with water. For the inrun we took snow from the inside once again and the riders got speed from a winch. Really fun session with goodies for everyone who got into the pool with his skis (or snowboard).
On Friday the skate session at our brand new mini ramp went down. We got prices from Blue-Tomato for a Goodies-For-Tricks Session and some new skate decks for the best overall riders.
The main event of the camp was our railjam which took place on saturday. We had some cash, Blue-Tomato as well as beer vouchers for the party and the riders could earn them with nice tricks. We tried to make the session as easy and chilled as possible. Cash and vouchers were handed out immediately and the judges noticed all tricks for the overall ranking.
The whole sessions was super fun, really everybody participated and since all obstacles counted for the ranking, there were more than enough options to show your skills and style. Afterwards we did the pricegiving in our camping area.
After the pricegiving the pre-party started. We had some free beer, good music, a big fire and got the party started really good. Later we went inside the SNOW DOME where the "big party" took place and as you can image, it lasted until the sun rose.
Unfortunately our photographer had to leave before the party so I don't have any shots from there but I will leave this picture here which is made by the official party photographer.
On the left is Torge Nagel and the one on the right is me. We did this whole summer project including the camp together and we are more than happy how it went and we are especially happy about all the people who visited us and were super stoked about everything. The guy in the middle is Jonel Fricke our speaker, rapper and the one who helped us wherever he could. Thanks!
