In a press release sent to Newschoolers this morning, Japanese camera manufacturer Sony, announced a new potato, as a follow-up to the ever-popular VX1000. The potato will forever change ski cinematography, setting even lower standards for image quality in edits to come. This tuber comes fully baked with 144p ultra low definition recording, 2 interlaced frames per second, and no need to replace batteries because it's a potato.

"With the new Sony Potato, skiers and filmers can create even poorer quality videos." Sammy Sevenskrrts, a Park City native and official New Wave liaison to Sony, says. "Were going to have to get a bigger dumpster for all of this art being made with the new Potato."

The Potato will be available exclusively on February 2nd at camera retailers and grocery stores world-wide. Make sure to snag one before they sell out; these are rare and will be going for $1,200.
