I`ve been

looking at the 1200ft rarburn`s couloir on puist coire ardair for about

2 months now. The couloir it`s self is very straightforward and not

technically difficult to ski. It trends left wards below the pinnacle

buttress at a fairly high angel. Some times it can be a straightforward

ice pitch near the top of the couloir, with occaisionaly cornice

difficulties. But there is a couple of things that consern me is wind

loading on the the top section,as it`s exposed If it was to

silde, theres no escape route. The snow will funnel down the couloir and

off pinnacle buttress on the left. My other real consern is traversing under post face,as there`s the risk of avalanches, cornices collapsing from a above.
