Despite the serious lake of snow in Tahoe, we've been making the best of it. I can't complain too much seeing as we had such an amazing winter last year, but we need a bit more of that fluffy white stuff. The week before I left for Idaho, my boyfriend Danny, my roommate Ben, and myself went out on a couple of missions in search of good snow. We hiked around Mt. Rose and headed to Emerald Bay with high hopes of finding decent conditions. I would have settled for just about anything. Although it wasn't waist deep pow, we found some great turns and had a blast. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we might get some action this weekend from those nimbus clouds!
