maybe it was the whole skiing at night deal messing around with the skiers' heads...i know i'd be scared to it up a pipe full tilt at night.

and i do believe tanner got robbed of a medal...olenick should have been 5th, crichton 4th, simon 3rd, tanner and jon 1st or 2nd is what i had in mind. oh well.

Just because Olenick had amplitude doesn't mean he deserves a friggin' medal! All of the other top skiers had amazing amplitude, PLUS they grabbed their skis in their spins, PLUS they did more than straight airs on their first three hits!! Olenick should hang his head in shame instead of dancing like a pompous jackass. Someone needs to straighten him out, he's becoming too much like Tanner. Also, those judges should go jump off a bridge. Crichton's second run should have put him in first, by far, at that point. Just look at the athletes' expressions after he landed the 1080 -- CR went to congratulate him, Tanner was visibly scared, and Olsson was shocked when the crappy score came out. I don't know how Loubek can in good conscience ever judge a freeskiing event again. His list of screwed up results just keeps getting bigger.

Simon went HUGE!!!!! But i think Jon's run was smoother. He landed that last 9 soooo smooth each run. Jon is sick. Im happy to see tanner without a metal. His ego needed that.

did anyone realize how they gave each rider an extra 3-4 points on the final run even though some of the 2nd runs were better?.....so all the 2nd round runs were thrown out??

Midwest720s.....the final pipe runs were shown during sports center....they said that a ton of times......too bad you missed that.

I was there in Aspen it was so sick. the prelems where sick too and the womens jam was awesome too. it was awesome seeing it first hand and being there.

Dave C. got screwed I thought, the 1080 with one ski was insane. Dumont went huge and dexerved gold.

that shit is so rigged. just cause peter is the home town hero doesnt mean he should get a freaken medal. His run was basic, a lot of straight airs and no grabs. After Tanner went everyone thought he deserved a better score. i was chillin with his cousin and even she said he didnt deserve a medal. Aspen antics and proganda thats all i got to say.

Olenick diffinitly didnt deserve third it was all Simon, Jon, and tanner. Crichtons run was ill too despite his crash.

Sanchez...what the hell are you talking about man? Olenick didn't dance around...Olenick didn't portray himself as a jackass...he didn't win for that matter. I think you may be confused with Simon Dumont, a pompous jackass who believes he's a gift to the sport. He's a damn good skier nonetheless and I believe he deserved his gold medal. LATE.

i think olenick deserved a medal, his whole run was stylie and smooth and he kept his amplitude 15 feet or higher the whole run, i think his run looked better than everyones except for tanner, who i think got robbed, i think they gave him points for style and amplitude, not technicality

Olenick and his bro were dancing before his run -- they looked like girls. After his run all he could do was stare at the camera, make retarded faces and play with his stupid fake tooth. He was basically being a jackass. Sad thing is, too, that he actually thinks he deserves his medal. What a joke!

As for Dumont, yes, he has his pompous moments, but he sure didn't deserve to win gold. Compared to the rest of the top 5 (besides Olenick, who should have been 6th or so) he had less difficulty in his tricks. On his gold medal run he nearly wiped on the 7. He should have gotten docked way more for that than those moron judges docked Crichton for his 1080 ski-loss (which shouldn't have been anything docking since he basically stomped it and rode out fine).

Either way, there's no way in hell Olenick deserved a medal, and if you think he did then you have no idea how freestyle events are or should be judged.

Olenick deserved 5th. Tanner should have won, and between Jon and Chrichton, it's hard to pick a winner. Dumont went absolutely huge, but messed up on his 7, and didnt have the tricks... He could have been anywhere between 2nd or 4th.

I think the judges only messed up with Tanner and Olenick.
