Wait, these kids don't have money? A pair of stereo wakeskis is like 900 dollars for skis and boots; it's another rich kid sport. Either way, its a newer sport, with two planks, which is cool, and its a summer sport so its nice to get some refreshing articles up here.
Ok, what the hell is wrong with you guys? they are trying to show you something that involves the same concepts, trick base, and influences as park skiing. Wakeboarding is cool, but that's like saying snowboarding in parks is cool (yeah, they did it first), so why start park skiing? and lastly, why is dubstep bad exactly? just because you don't like a song doesn't mean you should just talk shit about a whole genre. I bet I have as much knowledge, influence, and appreciation for rap, any techno, rock, bluegrass, country, and other genres as most of you, and if I don't like a song, I don't listen to it. Simple as that. You guys are giving skiers a bad name. Being a stuck up asshole isn't what made our sport, breaking boundaries, proving skeptics wrong, and support from outsiders did. So in the words of someone you probably hat, "quit bitchin, this isn't a fuckin hotline."
^thank you captain america i totally agree, no point in just hating on new stuff, if everyone hated, freestyle sking owuldnt be around in the first place
wakeskiing is awesome, it gives a whole new option for something to do until the snow comes back. the only thing i dislike about the sport as it is progressing, is that the competition side is being held in these cable parks. I have been into watersports my entire life, and have always skiied, wakeboarded, and kneeboarded behind powerboats. this is the first time the freestyle aspect has been introduced on skis, and i would love for it to stay behind a boat where it can be more easily accessed by more athletes.
