who do you guys think is going to win? second and third, also.
i think tanner is going to make a comeback, just because. and, by the time this comes around, torin is going to be way to good to not place. i feel that IOC judges will be appreciative of doubles, and since rolland has the most in his runs, on average, he's going to do well.
So ridiculously stoked right now! This is going to be amazing! I just hope the pipe doesn't blow...they gotta get that shit right and it will truly be amazing! HELL MOTHER FORKIN YES!
Congrats to Free-Skiing; I believe the money and the exposure will be great for all aspects of the sport and all of you. Outstanding thread, makes me proud my son is one you. I couldn't be happier!
YEAAAAH! Including halfpipe in the Olympics can only help the sport, not hurt it. Yes, freestyle skiing started as anti-mainstream, as a rebellion against traditional racing, but it can stand alone as it's own sport. It's not simply a rebellion anymore. Freestyle will always be about the passion for the sport. Having it in the Olympics isn't going to change it. If anything it's going to help finally validate freestyle skiers as legitimate athletes in society which has been a long time coming. Bottom line: STOKED
Word up! This just means more exposure and funding for the sport. I don't think the IOC can take away the passion and creativity that this sport already contains. People will always have the option of hucking their meat in comps, or just being creative and skiing for the love of it. More exposure in the competition side of things can only bring more exposure to other aspects of the sport, such as filming. Which ultimately means it will be easier to make a living in both. This is rad.
"But it saddens me to think that when I see kids in the pipe next, it will be because they want to be rich and famous, rather than because soaring out of that pipe is the greatest feeling in the world."
