dam, keepin my helmet on all season long, its crazy to think something like this can happen off such a minor incident, just unlucky. hopefully a full recovery, vibes.
buckets for sure.... it's always the little crashes that will get you. The number of times I've heard people say "I don't need a helmet today, I'm not riding park or anything" is enough to cause alarm. Stories like Danny's are far too common and, unfortunately, are often avoidable. A similar thing happened to my best friend in high school while inspecting a course before a race. Thinking we didn't need helmets for such a cautious, casual run. He fell, slid into the woods, and two weeks later was lucky enough to wake up out of a life-threatening coma.
All my best to him, his family, and his friends... I can only imagine what you all are going through.
