I still believe that a "weird poop" is the ideal excuse to leave work early. It's descriptive without being too specific. It's plausible, but no one will be surprised when you're healthy and back at work the next day. It's pretty ideal. Unfortunately now that I'm self-employed it doesn't work so well.
