A few years ago when I was just getting into freeskiing I sent CR a fan message through the Spyder website. I basically asked him for advice on how to get sponsored, just hoping that I could contact this guy that I had looked up to for so long, like a typical fan. He replied with a letter that was about ten times longer than mine. He gave me great advice, things that I still carry with me. He told me to be respectful, and that the ski world didnt owe me anything. Then he continued to tell me something that, in a way, has changed my life forever. He told me to ski for fun. To enjoy every second of it, not to worry about getting sponsored, just to enjoy the ride and things would come with time. He was right. I live by those words to this day. I met him about a year later for the first time and he continued to inspire me throughout the entire conversation. Thanks for everything CR. Skiing will never be the same. RIP
This was another tragic shockwave that will ripple through the ski world and never be forgotten... I'm absolutely devastated.
CR you were a true inspiration to anyone who ever met you as well as those who never had the opportunity to. Your legend will live on and will no doubt continue to motivate me as an individual through the remainder of MY life.
