All people care about in skiing today-is that it is different. So, we decided that web episodes are way too main stream, therefore we are creating new episodes. Jake and I (Matt) currently live in Eden, Utah, a small town outside of Ogden. We are high school seniors who are graduating in January. We are avid members of NS, (DINKLEBERG (Jake) and FigNewton (Matt)) and constantly find ourselves doing stupid things. Here is the start to our season.
Our season started with a trip to Pocatello, Idaho for Barrie’s Rail Jam. It was a great rail jam for not having a single rail present. It was a small jump on to a mat. It was decent for being one of the first city big air returning to America. With very few possibilities for tricks, due to the size of the ramp, we gave it our all. Jake ended up winning and I came in second. The best part of the whole trip was meeting real life brett-fisher. It was an honor to meet the famous, little, illiterate, Arab for Idaho. We got back to Ogden with enough time for a quick jib session, before the weekend’s parting began.

A couple weeks later, a few other friends and I made a trip to Burley, Idaho for a rail jam at Idaho Water Sports. Unfortunately, Jake was unable to make the trip. This rail jam, however, actually had rails and even snow. Right as we were about to leave Ogden, my friend (Zeke) realized he left his snowboard in Park City (a 2 hour round-trip jaunt in the opposite direction). We made quick time by maxing my Ford Taurus out at 110mph on the freeway. We got to Burley just before the event started, leaving no time for practice. The session was 25 minutes long and somehow I came out on top. After having another quick conversation with the infamous brett-ficher, we hit the road. I don’t think we were in Burly for more than an hour and a half. We arrived back in Ogden ready for another night of partying.

It was late October and there were cold temps, but no snow. Luckily our local mountain, Snowbasin, began snowmaking. In no time we began the preseason antics. We were up there about every day for a week and a half, and then the real snow came. It dumped snow in the city and we began to hit some urban. We ended up hitting an s to elbow kink closeout. Unfortunately no one finished and landed it, but it was still a good time.

After a short time, Park City opened. It was great to finally do some real skiing. The set up at PC is on point and everyone is stoked for a good season. We got the chance to get some shots in Sigma Ice Cream’s newest edit, so check that out! We will be up there all the time, so if you see us feel free to hit us up!
