I pretty much need this

I really want to back this project, but I am completely new to Kickstarter. By when (if it receives the funds) will the Shells arrive to the backers?

is it magnetic on the back?

Its confusing when believable products come out on 4/1

Our current production calendar allows us to tweak (if necessary) design and materials, submit IP, complete testing and certification, design and produce packaging, as well as produce our first purchase order to deliver to backers by June 2014.

So roughly 8 weeks after we take care of the necessary steps in production!

It is not magnetic however does feature 2 threading inserts for mounts to walls, handlebars, tripods, anything that threads of standard size it will screw into! We also plan on offering attachments and adapters for whatever you'd like to attach to just like with the Turtle Shell and Turtle 2.0.

why does an already established company need to use kickstarter for a new product?

seems like a sweet idea (although $250 is really pricey for something that probably won't be that much better than existing $100 portable speakers)

If i choose to back this product and it doesn't reach the goal (although i'm pretty sure this will) will we still receive the stuff said to be given to the backers?

Unfortunately

"This project will only be funded if at least $40,000 is pledged by Thu, May 1 2014 7:01 AM PDT."

HOWEVER, we have raised $16,000+ on the first day and still have 29 more days to raise the remaining 24k.

I'm very confident this project will be fully funded before the 29th if today is any indicator of the publics desire for a product of this sort.

Aside from developing some of the best bluetooth products in the industry and bringing them to the community while giving back to skiing via athlete sponsorships and events you love like War of Rails and Superunknown,

we've got a lot on our hands for such a small team.

To some 40k might not seem like a lot but to us it's the difference between being able to bring a revolutionary product to market or leave the world depraved of the Big Turtle Shell®.

We can raise the money for the initial production process that we need,

give the product to donators, fans, loyal bran followers, and believers at a discounted rate (potentially saving you some money!),

and not to mention we can raise awareness of our product and build awareness and hype for the initial release all while give out some awesome prize packs !

Really the question is who wouldn't use Kickstarter when it benefits a growing company rooted in skiing and benefits the consumer ??

(p.s. it's much better than those other speakers ;] )

This is awesome, but 250$ seems out of most peoples price range.

I am a 16 year old who would love this to just toss around, but I feel that 250$ Is a bit expensive. I also wouldn't be as likely to just dirty up a 250$ Speaker, but hey this is just my opinion

That's why for the next 29 days you can essentially pre-order one for $140 by pledging on kickstarter !

It is, @SkiingAintCrime, so real we've managed to raise $20,000 in the last 12 hours thanks to the help of our supporters would be a terrible april fools joke to give that money back.
