this isnt the first time warren millers been in shit for this kind of thing so i dont see why level 1 being 10 years old and warren miller having been around forever, didnt see a problem with this...

if a movie company wants to be legit they need to play by the rules, no matter how weird it is. if warrens voice and likeness is trademarked then why would you use it?

WME should have just kept their mouth shut, they probably would have seen increased sales due to the exposure for the name of Warren Miller. Now all this goes down and I'm betting their gonna take a hit.

Guys stop going nuts over this thing. Its lost in advance, looking at this case there is no way WME can hold warren miller (the person) from participating in a project of any kind since they have no rights anymore on him and his professional implications since 1999. The fact that they're business have his name as a social reason will not affect this case at all. Intellectual property rights do not cover that, it would be like telling someone whos last name is Heinz that he cannot be in any kind of public relations beacause of his name refering to the ketchup brand..

You guys can breath and sleep.

jrr5254...Warren Miller (the man) is his own voice. WME has been exploiting his name for too long, he wants nothing to do with WME, but they practically own him. WME has shown the utmost disrespect for Warren Miller by not only continuing to reuse clips of his voice to sell their films (because we all know nobody would watch that crap if it didn't have Warren Miller's name on it), and now they've filed a lawsuit against his friend Josh because Warren helped him on a project. WME is basically evil, they are using the money they've collected from Warren Miller's name to try and hurt him and his friends.

Level 1 and Warren Miller (the human being) FOR THE WIN.

This is craziness....Yes, it's sucks that Berman is under fire for using the voice of a legend. What's also sucks is everyone tearing apart a company which employs many good people and once a years brings thousands apon thousands of people of all ages together that share a similar love and enjoyment for the sport that has brought everyone to this site.. With that said, I would guess the whole lawsuit deal is some lawyer that (thinks he or she) is doing their job. There's a good chance the dude (or woman) doesn't even ski, and doesn't understand what WM movies were originally about. (Maybe never even saw a WM film until they got hired by the corporation. Who knows?) It's not their job to have this understanding. It's their job to protect the brand they are paid to protect. Now, this whole deal is some bullshit, yes. It sucks for Berman and L1P, and it sucks for everyone who puts in the time to make the WME movies.. Because think, if it's just the powers above those who film, edit, and plan the WM tour that are a part of this lawsuit, the little man is getting raped right now. Not saying that WME is in the right for this lawsuit, I'm just saying they employ a lot of people who do a great job at bringing people together and getting them stoked for the upcoming winter season. Yes, the movies have changed. Without Warren, they have lost that touch that got me hooked on them 20 years ago. There is no denying that. WME won't ever get a nickel from me, but I will probably still see their movie based on the fact of what it does for the skiing community. It brings kids, parents, grand parents, friends, family, and whoever else together to get there stoke on before ski season. Getting these people stoked before ski season has to help ski shops boost sales. Maybe it doesn't, but I sure would think that it does. WME's following is huge. Probably the largest of any ski movie companies. This website is a small fraction of all the skiers worldwide, and the ski industry doesn't revolve around a small fraction. It works as a whole, and it's just too bad that the lawyer and whoever else that filed the lawsuit don't understand that. There you go NS, a 2cent donation. Long live L1P. Cheers.

WME doesnt give a fuck about SKIING and what it is today or its progression... they arent even involved with our sport anymore, now its just a corporation trying to make money.

how does a company that claims to have begun the industry of ski film try to destroy it? buncha fags
