what dicks i will never support or buy anything from WME again...i would rather buy 2 copys of refresh than support a company that puts a bad name to our sport....
it's all very interesting. goes to demonstrate how free skiing is now a brand - everyone wants in on the space, wants to protect their assets and ultimately protect/build their presence in the freeskiing community
i think it's sad but undeniably an important event in the progression of freek skiing and its community.
who will win? Level 1 or WME, more importantly who owns skiing now; the skiers themselves or the corporations that arguably shape it...
I think it is ridiculous that a lot of you are taking it this way. WME (The Company) is ticked off that Level 1 was given rights by Warren Miller to use his voice in their film. As a WME executive, that would upset me because Warren Miller is the voice and the man of our brand.
It is unfortunate that this understanding is going to give WME this bad of a rep. Warren Miller and WME are the reason for ski movies to be this far and this progressive at this point.
I do agree though, and I may be misunderstanding this article, but it appears that WME went and sued Level 1 without talking to Warren Miller about his role in this .. which is a mistake and I am sure will be played out correctly in the court room.
My bad on this double post but what is up with all this hate for Warren? Most of you hating here don't even understand the article .. Amplidskier is saying that Warren is being sued by his son? Are you serious? Can you read English?
