This time of year, its hard to find partners at the last minute.
I use the GoPro HD
@smuggs, I skied north facing line that cliffs out at the bottom. I had to do some maneuvering. Its the line thats skiers right of the main north couloir. The line titled gnar is looking into the southeast couloir. Its not really in this year. A few years ago a couple guys traversed in on the midslope ramp, then booted up. I would love to do that one top to bottom someday but it needs to be a big snow year.
@ankhou: I should have phrased that better. 7 years ago I wasn't really into skiing big mountains, I was still skiing alot of park and resorts. Nowadays my focus has changed and skiing big peaks has become my driving force. a snowmobile also helps in the uintas
It blows my mind how you ski all this stuff in the Uintas. Everytime I've gone out I have so much trouble navigating my sled through the trees to get to anything, aside from a few jumps spots and mini golf things. Even then I just bootback them. I've always wanted to ski Bald Mtn. looks awesome. Maybe it'll be worth going out one more time this year for some turns.
^^ The uintas are a little tough, theres no doubt. I've spent alot of time up there over the years, so I've figured them out quite well. A good topo map goes a long way.
Hopefully the road opens in the next few weeks and some of the road side attractions become available.
