Mt. Washington is definately the tallest peak in the east, not some hill in NC.

impshredr - Although Mount Washington is thought by many to be the tallest mountain east of the Mississippi River, in fact the tallest is Mount Mitchell in North Carolina, at 6,684 ft. (2,037 m) north carolina holds the east coasts two tallest mountains
