good read. I want to be a park tech one day.. Is it strange when you try and draw perfect park features in your notbook instead of taking notes in class?
i tried to be a park tec once. but blue decided to hire some one "more qualified"... a lifty, and a dude from the rental shop. right. i miss you doug. why am i soo bitter at skiing?
agreed, completely because im the same as u doug, all my friends bitchin at me to stop complainin about my last hit, excuses on why iscrewed up or why it wasnt stylish. BETTER PARKS!! start calling resorts.
i love it doug. dude - i'm at red mountian this year - their park is a safety hazard... and the problem is, the higher ups (actually every depeartment but the park dude) want the park to go away completely...
It's hard because there's the boss who wants a park, but is kind of clueless... one park tech with a small budget, no experienced groomers, no snowmaking, and no support from ski patrol, lifts, maininance...
so i was grinding a down flat down and i hit the flat and the rail fell over. I think that says at my hill the park staff needs to atleast stick the rail in 2 feet. I meen rails arent suppose to fall over. and it isnt cuase im big or anything. I meen minnesota needs to learn how to do something. I meen i go to the best mid west park and it is only like 1000 feet long. none of the railshave landings. the jump are so small you clear the landing no matter what. or else there to big you cant even make them.
doug you should seriuosly come out to spirit mountain or and midwest park and help them. I meen rails are falling over. there is no landings
well doug you wrote probably the coolest thing i have ever read.
and i am like you becuase I hate it when things arent perfect
