Don't know why you guys are saying the UK comp was a joke just because Woodsy's trick was a lot higher standard; the other guys still killed it, but Woodsy is on a much higher level. Other UK guys have doubles in their bag but couldn't compete for one reason or another. Andy Matthew and James Machon still skied really well, it's a pretty intimidating jump.

The best trick got first place. That's how comps work.

Why was the UK comp a joke? I'd like to hear one coherent argument backing said statement, I thought the guys killed it!

An odd competition? Now that statement is a joke, not the comp. Morons.

The reason for the 7,7, dub 12 combo is that the competition is called BATTLE OF BRITAIN. They're all British skiiers and James Woods is honestly the only international level one. He also competed in the international event where competition was a little more, even shall we say..

Super sick day though! I loved every minute!

Here's your essay haters....

The British guys killed it hard... I was working on the jump the first day and you guys have no idea how soft the landing was for the first 3 events of the freeze. Battle of Britain ski and snowboard have a tough job as it is those comps that help to pack down the landing. The event was really time pressured - each rider only got 2 practice hits before the comp began. Remember in Britain we ain't got no jumps anywhere close to this size.

In the end there were only around 15 riders competing and one of those guys hadn't hit any kind of jump for 3 years due to a dreadful injury (you are a hero btw towelie). Loads of British guys have some doubles in the bag but were not at the event due to injury / lack of invite, actually got injured at the event or didn't fancy taking the risk right before the start of the season after a summer off (Joe Murrell, Hector Barbour, Joe Tomlinson, Tyler Harding, Paddy Graham, Jamie Matthew, Julian Ball, Grant Donald, Andy Longley, Andy Wilson, Leigh Powis, Nathan Connolly, James Webb... the list goes on).

However the most disappointing thing is that it was woodsy's fairly average (by his standards) double 12 that made that edit and not his first run - super deep corked 7 double true tail to truck driver... honestly my favourite trick of the whole event...

Reppin for gb... these guys know the true meaning of hard work and perseverance... stoked to see British talent develop further this season
