Also, many smaller ski companies would be very relieved to have a larger and more reputable manufacturing outfit like Dynastar, agree to make their skis. It's not necessarily such a bad thing.
yeaa colby...maybe they saw the Wicked segment and knew you were a good fit, hell Wicked was one big unlimited pleasure toy. hopefully this becomes a sustainable company that complements others. now that would be good for everyone, but for now, good for Colby.
I really think they need to make the slogan for Coreupt, "It's Peanut Butter Jelly Time."
Anyway.
Absolutely hilarious to see how everyone's played telephone with industry rumors over the years resulting in some pretty incredibly incorrect information. In any case this is obviously a great move for Colby, and that's what matters. Congrats. The skis, well, judge them when they're actually available for riding.
grambo: 'Imagine watching your friends rip pow on big 100-120 waist sticks, flat camber, reverse camber/sidecut etc. while you ride 92mm 185's. Ugh.'
coreupt 'hands up' (richard permin's pm) is the same mould as the huge trouble so around 115 underfoot and guerlain chicherit pm is the same size as lps at 100 underfoot.
and in any case, with coreupt working on new designs for next year, you really think their pro will be on this years 'stock' models?
bitter people, damn. who cares. they seem better than some other ski companies. and who the fuck gave yall the right to speak for the skiing community. those are way cooler graphics than fucking boone. so go bash on them
No hate on Coreupt. Good for them to find the money to start a company, whether it's their moulds or someone else's. Just PLEASE don't call your skis when Pro Models when the pros in question (with the exception of Candide and GC) who had nothing to do with the development of the skis in the first place. I always thought a Pro Model was designed/developed/tested/and approved by the pro endorsing it. Since when does taking an existing tool and putting your name on it make it "your" model?
It seems as if "freeskiing" finally is getting recognitized outside of the traditional skiing world. Some investors sees an opportunity and, starts Coreupt, opens their wallet and scrambles together the biggest profiles in the business.
The actual product is not of such importance since they are basically just selling an image. Why not develop a product that actually is new and then assemble a team?
Coreupt is just another profit hungry company who wants to use the "coolness" of freeskiing to make money for thier investors.
I will never ever ever buy any of their products. Support REAL brands instead.
