I Don't want to sound like doug, but im not to sure what i like about skiing. Sometimes I scare the shit out of myself, sometimes i hurt myself pretty bad, sometimes im so pissed that im called in at work and i can't go sking that it almost ruins my day. Yet everytime i talk to someone about skiing i get so excited and kinda gittery even. Each time i'm heading out to the hill im stoke because i know ill have fun whatever the weather is. I guess skiings kinda like my girlfriend, we go throw good times and bad times, but we always go through together, not sure why i chose skiing over another sport i just did, (although i do think it looks better than boarding, all the grabs look the same on a board).

Loving skiing is for me loving my life. No matter how corny it sounds its really like that

The thing with skiing is that for me it's so much more then just the boots, the skis, the snow and so on. It's not the stoke you get out of stomping a new trick that makes me keep skiing, it's not the rush i get by doing something new and big. It's not even the hapiness i get by being around friends on a sunny day. It all comes down to one thing for me, and that is that skiing gives me a release from all other things i have on my mind. It makes me focus on just one thing, skiing. I forget all my problems from the second i take my first turn. Skiing is like a drug, i know its a cliché, but it's so true. The difference is that skiing is a good drug, a drug that makes you happy, with no bad side effects what so ever (in case you don't fall...).

A really shitty day can be turned into one of the best days of my life, just by a couple of hours of skiing. It's that easy! In fact, skiing gives me the power to fight all bad things and problems in my life, and i really don't know what i would do if someone took away skiing from me. And i really don't want to find out, cause i think that my life wouldn't be as great as it is today, when i can ski. So i pray that i always will be able to keep skiing, just so i got the strength to go through all of lifes tough challenges. As long as i ski, my life will be good.

Sorry if the english isn't that good, swedish is my first language!

i love knowing that no matter how shitty or long my day was, skiing is always there. No matter what happened during the day, there is always something great to do, skiing. It will always be there, good or bad weather, its nice to have. meeting your friends at the mountain, taking some runs, enjoy the great sprt that we all have come to love. as cliche as it sounds, skiing creates an escape from real life, and no matter how many runs you take, it makes all the bad things disapear

You can relate a lot of what you do in life towards skiing. To the untrained eye, someone watching a person go off a huge kicker, ski backwards, or ski an incredible line in the backcountry might think they’re crazy. Why would someone do that? I think it’s a sense of freedom. When you’re little, just learning how to swim you tend to stay close to the edge of the pool for safety. Each time in the pool you go further into the deeper end, and eventually let go of that edge. You continue to test your limits until you are free from that edge and no longer need it as a safety net. This is an example of the relationship I have with skiing. Continuing to push and evolve oneself. This is why I love skiing. Skiing is a life long journey. Eventually you understand the mountain and see that there are no limits.

"Bottom line, the thing I love about skiing is the way it allows you to detach from all the things in your life that might be stressing you out or causing any sort of anxiety. From the first second you step into your bindings on a good day, it seems like all of your troubles couldn't be further away. I've never been very good at buddhist meditation, but I think skiing is a perfectly decent substitute. It helps me clear my mind and find peace.

Oh yeah, and skiing trees on a powder day is an indescribable rush. Your non-skier friends will never understand this sort of feeling. That's the other reason I love skiing. When I have a particularly satisfying day of shredding, it gets me higher than any drug ever could, and I feel incredibly euphoric. It's as close as I could imagine coming to proving the existence of a benevolent, fun-loving god."

Skiing is freedom to fly, to bounce, to challenge my limits, to better relationships with my friends, to meet new ones, and to be silly.

There are no limits aside from my imagination, but I have only been able to realize this with my skiing, and that is why I love it.

i love the feeling of unsafety skiing gives me. when your learning new tricks and thers nothing but an icy landing beneath you. and then when you stomp it, it feels so good.

the ting i love about skiing is the ability to express yourself in a totally unique way, with your own style and little tweaks. also, i love how when youre skiing, its jjust you, your planks, and the snow. how much better could it get?

What I love best about skiing, among a myriad of things, is how you're never thinking about skiing while you're skiing, but whenever you're not skiing you are thinking about when you were.Skiing makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, or maybe that's your warm sweater, but it actually gives way to a feeling of calm when you are straight running through some trees only to run hands first into a tree, and not begrudge it at all, because, you know, deep down in your heart, that you wouldn't give it up for anything else.
